The names of products registered as ZOP are those that have the strongest connection with the place of production. A product with a ZOP label is entirely produced in a certain geographical area by applying known skills and using raw materials and ingredients that also originate from that area. The quality of the product marked with this mark is directly related to the natural and human factors of the geographical area of production.
ZOGP emphasizes the relationship between a specific geographical region and the name of the product, whereby a certain quality, reputation, or other characteristic can essentially be attributed to its geographical area. A product with a PGI label is linked in quality and reputation to a specific geographical area where at least one essential stage of production has taken place.
The GTS system was established to preserve traditional production methods and recipes by helping producers of traditional products to market them. GTS carries a product that can be produced anywhere, but is produced according to a traditional recipe, traditional procedures and methods of production or using traditional ingredients.
